A poem inspired
after a dialogue with community members of Sultan Naga
Dimaporo
on the GRP-RPMM Peace Process at the Macapagal Ancestral House in
Iligan City.
Peace is
personal, it starts with our trust
Peace is friendship, believing a must
Peace is
amongst us yet still far away
Peace is not made of silent graves dug on the way
Peace is
not patience, when frustration does flow
Yet peace is patience, when we learn as we go
Peace is
not logframes, it doesn’t fit in a box
Peace is our process, not donors who mock
Peace is
development, development is peace
Peace is not fighting, but when fire does cease
Peace is a
journey, with no end in sight
Peace is a struggle which takes all your might
So peace
shall be with you – yours and mine
Thank you for sharing, we will see you next time
in Peace
