Welcome: could be a short prayer or mass

  • Noel, Jane of KAISAHAN are coordinating the Visayas leg
     
  • DAR Region, provinces, and municipalities are requested to support the whole march
     
  • RD Homer and the provincial offices of the DAR (PARO Toto, for example) already committed to give full support to the march
     
  • Initially, coordination efforts are being done with the following groups: KAISAMPALAD, EVNet, IDPG, MODE, PMP, AFF, BRAMO, KAMAO, JACOFA, CODE NGO, PhilDHRRA,
     
  • Coordination are also being done with the Dioceses, SACs, BECs, Parishes especially to provide the food and accommodation needs of the Sumilao farmers
     
  • The PNP, Military, and Police will also be contacted to provide assistance to the march

  To those willing to help the farmers, here are their everyday needs:

  • Food namely breakfast (painit and pamahaw), am snack, pack lunch, pm snack, dinner;
  • Accommodation including place sleeping, CR, laundry, pillows and sleeping mats
  • 2 jeepneys for carrying the marchers' belongings and logistical materials
  • Water (since their body resistance is weak, they need mineral water and electrolyte sources like Gatorade and Extra Jos
  • Medicines particularly Biogesic, ascorbic acid, Betadine, Gauze, cotton, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, and tissue
  • Raincoats (mahaba at makapal)
  • Bathing and washing soaps, shampoo
  • Slippers, hats, face towels
  • T-shirts are also welcome although they would rather wear similar shirts with printed campaign calls like "Walk for Sumilao Lands, Walk for Justice," "Restore the Dignity of Sumilao Farmers, Extend and Reform CARP," "Ibalik and 144 hectares of Sumilao Land."
  • Activities may be organized at each stop which could be a mass or a prayer or dialogue with farmers, etc…depending on the support groups that will welcome the Sumilao farmers at each stop.
