Balay Mindanaw Relief
Operations have started to go full swing today, December 19, after
ensuring that all BM colleagues and families are safe.
Volunteers started to report for duty last night. Today more
volunteers are coming by the hour. The first wave of assistance have
been delivered to 70 families in Barra, Opol. Each food package
worth P400.00 (approx. US$10) contains 5 kilos of rice, 6 pieces of eggs, 6 cans of
sardines and 2 bottles (1.5 liters) of water.
Donations (both actual and pledges) have also started to come. Balay
Mindanaw colleagues and volunteers are affirmed and inspired by the
many letters of concern and/or support coming from partners and
friends in Mindanao, the Philippines and from all over the world…
